Ethereum L2 Eclipse CEO steps back amid sexual misconduct claims

Ethereum layer 2 blockchain Eclipse founder and CEO Neel Somani says he’s “quickly decreasing” his function as a “public face” for the agency as he faces sexual misconduct allegations.

“Severe allegations have been made towards me on Twitter within the final week. These allegations are false,” Somani wrote in a Could 9 X post. “Severe allegations about sexual misconduct warrant a critical and considerate response.”

He added he “by no means sexually assaulted or harassed any lady” and would “work to clear my identify and defend myself.”
